My team and I started a Holding Company that is rolling up the ~2,000 metal fabricators in Southern California. This market is made up of largely multi decade history companies that have strong margins but little sales/marketing/tech use. These businesses are often owned by sellers who are blue collar/want to leave CA for TX or Idaho, often own their real estate and are willing to sacrifice purchase price/offer lots of seller financing in exchange for quick deals.

Currently, we own 3 shops and are buying more this year. Most deals are 1-4.5x EBITDA and do under $10m in revenue. We are rolling them up to get to $100m in revenue (at ~$20m now.)
